I was just curious to know if there is a recommended time I should wait to test burn my container candles. I usually wait a day...should I wait longer? Or can I burn them as soon as they are cold to the touch?

Clay flower pots

I have several clay flower pots and I need to seal the hole in the bottom. Does anyone know what type of product I should use? I also want to paint them (inside and out) can I use any acrylic paint or does it have to be a candle paint?

Thanks,
Soybean oil content in Phytowax container and votive wax

The Phytowax candle waxes are the culmination of 12 years of research, testing and product improvement. We created the very first soy waxes anywhere in the world. We have have dedicated the time, expense and effort to develop the best. We get comments from many Village Chandlers that have tested all of the soy waxes and vegetable waxes presently on the market. The overwelming report from many Chandlers is that Phytowax performs the best by a huge margin. Each Village Chandler is encouraged to test all other waxes and reach your own conclusion on wax performance and ease of use. Phytowax is easy to use and produces exceptional candles.

It's not too surprising when you think about it. Iowa soy wax chandlers collectively bought over 800,000 pounds of soybean-based candle wax. That represents about 10,000 bushels of additional Iowa soybeans going to a new and growing market.
