= Soy Wax Supply Problems and Solutions
=

Regular visitors to the Chandler Guild web site have had a chance to see
the value of our on-line community in action. Guildmembers expressed their
frustrations at the delays and lack of timely communication with Soyawax:

http://chandlerguild.com/node.php?id=59

and Mike Richards was listening and responded:

http://chandlerguild.com/node.php?id=60

This constructive dialog was followed by a news story announcing the
Soyawax Supply Summit set for June 22, 2003:

http://chandlerguild.com/node.php?id=64

To which Village Chandler Guildmembers Sara and Scott of Ewe-R-Wooly
Sheepkeepers of Glenville, Minnesota, introduced themselves as new Soyawax
Regional Warehouse Partners.

Sara and Scott aren't content to just distribute soy wax. You may have
seen their recent announcement about their new line of soywax-coated wicks:

It's a living soap opera AND a valuable source of business information
all rolled into one! If you aren't a regular visitor to the Village Chandler
Guild web site, here are a few tips to enhance your experience...

Web Site TIP #1: One way to keep abreast of the latest comment activity
on the Chandler Guild web site is to visit the 'View New Comments' page.
Here's the URL for this page if you want to add a link to your browser's
Favorite list:

http://www.chandlerguild.com/module.php?mod=tracker

You'll find a link to this page in the right side navigation links when
you are logged on as a site member.

Web Site TIP #2: All things in moderation can improve your reading
pleasure... community content moderation, that is. Have you noticed that new
comments, stories and articles invite you to rate the contribution? Your
'thumbs up, thumbs down' opinions help determine what content makes the
Village Chandler Guild home page. And it helps determine how high or low on
the page comments are placed... Enough negative ratings and content may
disappear from view.

The first tip told you how to keep an eye on new comments. Just as important,
we want you go keep abreast of new story, article and diary entries. New
content goes into the Moderation Queue where it is quickly available for you
to find, read and rate. Once you've logged onto the Guild web site, look for
the 'View Submissions (x)' link. The parenthetical number will tell you how
many new items are in the queue. Follow this link to see these new content
submissions and give us your opinion.

Tip #3: We've added a within-site search feature to help you find what
you are interested in within the growing quantity of information being
shared by Guildmembers on the web site. Scroll down the page and look for
the 'Site Search' headline within the right side navigation links. There you
will find a simple text entry field and 'Search' button. You'll find this
feature just above the Worldlingo box for translating the site into foreign
languages.

If this quick search form doesn't do the trick, you'll see that the
results page that your search returns includes help instructions and a more
advanced search query input form.

===========================
= Gotta Question? Fire away...
=

Last but not least, we want to remind you that we want to do everything
we can to make the Village Chandler Guild a valuable resource for your
growing soy wax candle business.

If you have questions about how to access the site. If you want to know
how to contribute content, or how to 'tag' your text so it has snazzy
typographic features like bold, italic, headlines and even tables... just
ask us.

You can send your questions to mailto:guildmasters@chandlerguld.com. Of
course we'll answer your questions by adding content to 'The
ChandlerGuild.com Web Site' section of The Village Chandler Handbook. The
handbook is the 'collaborative book' under evolution at the Chandler Guild
Training Ground. The web site section is here:

http://chandlerguild.com/node.php?id=23

We'll respond to your e-mail by pointing you to the new content your
question stimulates us to contribute to the book.

That's if for now.

Final thoughts... it's time to learn as much as you can about the Village
Chandler Guild's First Continental Congress by checking out the Event Agenda
and Delegate Participation Guide.

You don't want us to start the revolution without you, now, do you?

Like Gil Scott-Heron* said so many years ago, 'The Revolution will NOT
be televised, will NOT be televised!'... But you can read about it at the
Village Chandler Guild web site:

What's that? Don't remember the Thinking Person's Revolutionary from
the Seventies? Check out:

or follow this tinyurl, http://tinyurl.com/e0n6, to the above page where
you'll learn more about this outspoken artist, including the lyrics to 'The
Revolution Will Not Be Televised'
. And for a final Stab From The Past, check

Like the man says, 'The Revolution will be live.'

See you in Cedar Rapids!
