As a Guild Member, you may have seen a drop-down listbox for comment moderation that didn't have any items that dropped down!? Makes it kinda hard to give your opinion about a comment or story if there are no moderation ratings to select, doesn't it?
Mea culpa. There is a web site configuration setting that weights the moderation votes for each of the various member account roles. I've now learned that you have to set at least a '1' weighting factor to a role's moderation settings to get that choice available for a given role.
Bottom line: Guild Members can now make their opinions heard!
When you read another member's content contributions, you can let us know what you think. Really good entries will 'rise to the top' like cream in milk (not sure if soymilk has cream that rises, so I am referring to the cow kind). Similarly, really off-topic or apparently lame comments can be 'voted off the island' (so to speak) in that these poorly rated comments will stop being displayed on the site.
