For the latest, check out Chandler Channel News page, including new forum topics, upcoming chat session scheduled events, etc.
In addition to the thread of stories and articles that stream through the Chandler Guild's home page, there are a number of 'channels' that Guildmembers have available for member communication:
- Diary Entries - Each Guildmember has a diary to capture and share his or her candlemaking and chandler business experience and insights. The diary is what would be called 'blog' or 'web log' on other sites. Entries can be anything that's on your mind and can be as long or short as you want.
- Forum Discussions - Our forums are on-going threaded discussions in a traditional on-line bulletin board format. Forum user interface features help you track conversations, find new entries, and post replies.
- Chandler Chat - Thanks to Guildmember Donna Rheinherren of Heartland Soy Wax and Candle Company, the Guild now has a real-time chat room. Use this web site to announce topics and date/times to meet and chat away! Thanks, Donna.
- Quick Polls - Want to take the pulse of Guildmembers on a burning question? Post a poll. This feature is intended for simple, short one-question inquiries. If you need to post a more elaborate survey, let us know. There are a number of free on-line services for running a full-featured on-line survey.
- Chandler Handbook - The collaborative book feature of this site is probably the most advanced channel we have available. Over time, the various Guild SIG teams will take responsibility for chapters within the Guild Handbook. Until we make more and better use of this feature, you might want to peruse it to get an idea of what is there and how it is presented.
