My name is Robin Sydnor and unfortunately I am the chandler that was very ill at the "First Conference". The bad news is that I have been diagnosed with the West Nile Virus, and the experts say that I will have this thing for a few more months, the virtigo was just one more symptom that I have experienced with this "Evil" virus. I would like everyone to be at ease and know that I was not and am not contagious, you have to be bitten by a mosquito to get this darn bug.
I would like to start off by Thanking everyone who was praying for my recovery. It really touched my heart to see the articles written here on the Chandler Guild with such concern. I don't believe I have had the pleasure of getting to know so many wonderful people in one gathering before.
I also would like to give special thanks to Mike and Lynette Richards for racing down to the hotel to check on me, especially since they were in such an important meeting. I feel deeply in their debt. I am at a loss for words and am very humbled by Mike's eloquent writings.
My thanks to Scott & Sara Belbeck for a ton of different reasons...the help...the tow...for just being the great people that you are. To all my fellow chandlers, if you haven't done any business with Scott & Sara yet, you are missing a real treat. I have never ever had such Superb customer service in my entire adult life. They have made my beginning candle making efforts so easy, great teaching tips, great customer service....fantastic people...I can't say enough.
Thank you Dan Say and Brenda Hellweg for your help that first day of the conference when I was feeling so poorly, your kindness touched my heart. And finally to Carol & Dan of Beth's soy candles for the very nice articles they wrote here on the guild.
I look forward to next years conference and a chance to experience the whole thing!! The little bit I was able to see of the conference was great. I look forward to making friends with everyone in the future.
My Sincere Thanks to All,
Robin Sydnor
Happy Candle Making
