Being a Chandler

Chandler Guild Training Ground | The Chandler Guild Business Model

Hello Fello Chandlers,
I just wanted to pass on a little encouragement. Especially to the new Chandlers. But also to anyone interested. So, I would like to offer the definition of the word:

PASSION: That surge of spriit that helps you know---and pursue---what you really want out of life.

ADVICE TO NEW CHANDLERS

FIRST, take it easy. Because it's your passion, you can get carried away and burn out.

SECOND, take small steps.

THIRD, don't try to figure out what sells.

And the most important thing, have a really comfy couch to rest on.

Happy Candling!
Carol

Carol you are like the nicest, uplifting, giving person!

I really enjoyed talking with in CR.
However my pillars I have given up on, I'm going to stick to containers. Have a good day!

Perfect Adjectives to Describe a Wonderful Person!

Carol Lafferty-Winter busy as bee at her trade show boothJen, you picked the perfect words to describe a beautiful member of the Chandler Guild. Anyone who attended the Congress knows that Carol Lafferty-Winters was among the most energetic, positive and helpful people at our meeting. Her booth in the Guildmember Trade Show was informally dubbed 'Soy Wax Pillar Candle College' as she patiently shared the results of her efforts to develop these challenging products.

Carol and husband Dan went above and beyond the call of duty to explain both candlemaking and best business practices. I know from being a 'fly on the wall' that Carol gave lots of inexperienced members a much-needed shot of her 'Can-do' Spirit.

And Carol was not shy about taking the mike and sharing her ideas and expectations for the growth and evolution of the Chandler Guild. Yes, we are lucky to have good folks like Carol on our first Table of Twelve.

And did I mention that she sings like a true Coal Miner's Daughter accompanied by Dan's mean 12-string guitar!?

Carol Lafferty-Winters, an unsung (yes, bad pun :-) hero of the first Chandler Guild Congress!
