Done... Thanks :-)

Hi Debbie!

I'll leave your comment and this response up for a few days, then delete as these are 'transient comments' that are non-essential to the info sharing mission of the Guild.

Pouring the candle

The photos are wonderful. I hope mine did come out although it is not on the web. I am hoping to use it for some PR.

Jim, it was so wonderful to have you take all of these and a special, special thank you!

Mea culpa... Professional photographer next year!

Evelyn,

Among the 'upgrades' we will be sure to include as part of next year's Congress is funding a professional photographer with quality digital equipment! Timlynn and I were constantly torn between being 'in the moment' and having to step aside and think, "I should be taking a picture of that!"

I am using the finest of fine-toothed combs to search my computer for the picture of you pouring into the Giant Community Candle. I have the picture of Don, as you probably saw. But I have not yet found yours. Nor did I seem to get Bev Prostine's 'pourshot'. Since her and your photos were back-to-back, my fear is that our overworked point-and-shoot digital camera was overheated and weak on batteries and didn't take these shots even though it acted like it did.

I am truly sorry that I did not get these two shots. I may have missed a few more, too, although Timlynn's list does seem to jibe with our pictures on hand.

Later today we will be posting a collection of 'raw' photo galleries to showcase the Congress event. As I go through these pictures, I keep thinking about all the things that went on that we missed taking pictures of, and I have shots that are fuzzy and wobbly, etc.

It didn't take too long for us to realize that we'll all benefit from having a pro with decent equipment to document our annual Congresses. At least we have what we have. And there were more than a few folks with cameras firing away in addtion to the photos we took.

If anyone has pictures of Evelyn and Bev pouring into the Giant Community Candle, please let us know.

Again, please accept my apologies for our apparently not having a picture of your pour. I know I speak for many in the Guild, we appreciate your bringing your experience and dedication to helping to grow the Guild and the soy wax candle industry.
